The Dubai Dancing Fountain, the world’s largest dancing fountain, is located on the 30-acre Burj Khalifa Lake, and shoots water jet at a height of 150 meters, equivalent to that of a 50-storey building. The fountain is 275 meters long and has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs. The Fountain includes the most advanced incandescent large fountain lights available today, with 25 colour projectors that create a visual spectrum of more than 1000 abstract attractions. The beaming lights of the Dubai Fountain, catches the eye from more than 20 miles away.
The Dubai Dancing Fountain comprises of several high-pressure water jets and shooters, which make water seem to dance, super shooters that shoot water upwards under pressure up to 73 meters in the air, and extreme shooters that can shoot water under pressure to 150 meters in the air. These shooters create a loud ‘boom’ noise after water is ejected. The super shooters are least used during each show, as it takes a lot of time to build up enough pressure and energy to shoot water high in the air.
The show performs daily, repeated every 30 minutes (see the schedule below) and the performance repertoire includes Sama Dubai, Baba Yetu – the award winning song in Swahili, Shik Shak Shok – the top-selling dance number of Arab World, and Con te partiro, the signature piece of world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.
Visitors can enjoy the show for free from the lakeshore. However if you want to enjoy this moment more unforgettable way, you can set sail on the ultimate ride along the Burj Lake, or board a traditional Abra and enjoy the breathtaking show of sights and sound from the heart of Downtown Dubai. Tickets are available at The Dubai Fountain Lake Ride kiosk at the Fountain Promenade and At the Top, Burj Khalifa ticket counter.
